  • Monday, May 16, 7:00-9:00 AM. Bike to Work Week Bike Commuter Continental Breakfast: Mayor John Haila and Ames City Council members will kick off National Bike to Work Week by hosting a free Bike Commuter Continental Breakfast in front of City Hall, 515 Clark Ave. The event is planned for outside but will move to the City Hall foyer if weather is a concern. Stop by for a breakfast snack and drink.

  • Saturday, May 21, 9:00 AMMayor and City Council’s Bike Ride: Ames Mayor John Haila and members of the Ames City Council invite the community to participate in a family-friendly bike ride around Ames, starting and ending at City Hall. The 7.5-mile ride will meet in the west parking lot at Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Ave. Bicyclists of all ages and experience levels are welcome to join the ride. There is no pre-registration necessary or cost to participate. Bike helmets are strongly encouraged.
